Breakout rooms

Breakout rooms that run themselves.

The general session gets all the attention. The breakouts are where shows quietly fall apart — a tech per room, decks on USB sticks, and the one session everyone wanted to rewatch that nobody recorded. BËTR runs every breakout on one connected system, so the rooms stay clean, the cues land, and the record is always rolling.

The usual breakout

  • A tech (and a table of gear) crammed in the back of every room
  • Decks on USB sticks and last-minute “can you open this?”
  • Missed cues when one operator is covering three rooms
  • “Wait — did room C-204 actually record?”

A BËTR breakout

  • Clean rooms — small footprint, fewer techs, more floor for attendees
  • The approved deck already on the screen when the speaker walks in
  • Several rooms run from one Room Control surface without a dropped cue
  • Every session recorded automatically — nobody has to remember

One system, every room

How concurrent sessions stay in sync.

Speakers upload their decks ahead of time through a portal in your event’s branding. Your producers review, mark up, and approve each one — and Slide Track keeps those notes attached to the right slide even when a speaker reorders the deck. The approved file is delivered to the correct room, the right slide is on the right screen, and the session records itself. Multiply that across ten rooms and it still takes one calm team.

Breakout room AV — FAQ

What is breakout room AV?
Breakout room AV is the audio, video, projection/LED, and presentation support for the concurrent sessions that run alongside an event’s general session. The hard part isn’t any one room — it’s keeping a dozen of them in sync: the right deck on the right screen, every session recorded, and cues hit without a tech babysitting each room.
How does BËTR run multiple breakout rooms at once?
One connected system. Speakers upload decks ahead of time through a portal, our producers review and approve them, and the approved file is pushed to the correct room automatically. Operators run several rooms from a single Room Control surface, so you need fewer techs — not one per room — and nobody forgets to hit record.
Do you record every breakout session?
Yes, automatically. Recording is armed on every room, every session — it’s not a button someone has to remember at the back of a dark room. Each session is captured as a branded composite (slides + speaker) plus clean isolated sources, auto-named, and released back to speakers fast.
Can you handle last-minute deck changes in a breakout?
Yes. A speaker who reworks their deck in the hallway five minutes before they’re on can re-upload or change it in the speaker-ready room; Slide Track follows your producers’ notes across versions and the new file syncs to the room they’re about to walk into.
Is this an alternative to the venue’s in-house AV for breakouts?
Yes — breakouts are exactly where in-house AV gets expensive and uneven (a room rate plus a tech rate, times every room). BËTR covers all your breakouts with one accountable team and one system, usually for less than per-room in-house pricing.
